A senior scientists/molecular geneticist aged 35 years. Studied molecular biology at the Faculty of Natural Sciences of the Comenius University where he earned academic degrees of all three levels (Bc., MSc., RNDr., PhD.). He got his qualification of a healthcare professional at the Slovak Medical University in Bratislava. His professional practice was/is linked to the mentioned Faculty of Natural Sciences, as well as to the Slovak Academy of Sciences (originally at the Institute of Molecular Physiology and Genetics, later at the Centre of Molecular Medicine that was recently renamed to Institute of Clinical and Translational Research before it become part of the present Biomedical Research Centre of the Slovak Academy of Sciences) where he acquired the qualification of a senior scientist (IIa). As part of his pedagogical activity at the faculty he is lecturing selected lessons of Pharmacogenetics and pharmacogenomics as part of the semestral course of Human molecular genetics, Developmental genetics as part of the semestral course of Evolutionary biology 2, he led selected practical lessons in the practical course of Human genetics and Human molecular genetics and is/was a consultant of several bachelor and master graduation theses. His research is focused on the diagnostic possibilities of severe inherited disorders - commonly referred being monogenic – and to their molecular-genetic characterisation in the population of Slovakia. In recent years the focus of his work in this field has become massively parallel sequencing and the resulting possibilities of genomic medicine. Scopus records 18 scientific publications (for name versions “Radvanszky J” and “Radvansky J”) which have so far received 175 citations (h-index 8). He is a member of the European Society of Human Genetics (ESHG), the Slovak Society of Medical Genetics (SSLG) and of the Working group of Slovak Society of Medical Genetics for elaboration of documents associated with implementation of genomic analyses into the clinical practice in Slovakia. He received awards of the Slovak Society of Medical Genetics for the best publication in the respective year (2x; in 2013 and 2014), Price of the Literary foundation for scientific literature of the year (2014) in the category of biological and medical sciences and a third place in the annual Contest of young scientists of the SAS in the year 2012. He is a member of the editorial board of the scientific journal NewsLab.
